Every seller in this market lists BM0, BM1, BM3 and BM5 without ever explaining what the number means. It is the count of ad accounts the Business Manager can hold. That single fact decides which one you should buy.
In short
- The number is the ad account count. BM0 holds none, BM1 holds one, BM3 holds three, BM5 holds five. It is not a quality grade, and it is not a trust score.
- The limit is separate. A BM1 and a BM3 can both sit at $50 a day, or both at $250. Number of accounts and daily limit are two different specifications, and sellers blur them constantly.

What BM0, BM1, BM3 and BM5 actually mean
The explanation nobody in this market bothers to write down.
When you see BM3 on a seller's list, the 3 is the number of ad accounts that Business Manager is allowed to contain. That is all. It is not a tier, not a trust level, not a verification grade.
Meta grants ad account slots based on a BM's standing: how long it has existed, whether it has spent cleanly, whether it has been through review. A BM that has earned five slots has more history behind it than one with a single slot, which is why the price climbs. But you are paying for capacity, not for safety.
The daily limit is a separate axis. Our BM1 at $40 and our BM3 at $140 differ in both slots and limit, but that is a property of these particular units, not a rule. You can find a BM1 with a $250 limit and a BM3 with a $50 limit. Always check both numbers before paying anyone.
BM5 Scan is a further variant: a BM5 that has passed Meta's document scan. Those trade around $100 wholesale and are usually sold on request rather than from stock.

Created 2023-2024 and pixel shareable, which matters more than the price suggests: you can share the pixel with other assets rather than rebuilding audience data from zero on every new BM. One slot at $50 a day is modest, but Meta raises limits on units that spend cleanly, so this climbs on its own if your offer works.
BM5 β 5 ad accounts, $250 daily limit
Five slots at $250 a day, created 2025. This is for agencies and for anyone running several unrelated offers who does not want a bad result on one campaign to sit next to the others. Do not buy it to run one campaign. You would be paying $80 more than the BM3 for two slots you will not open.
How to pick your BM
Four questions, in this order.
How many campaigns run in parallel?
One offer, one slot. If you test several angles as separate ad accounts, count them. That number is the BM you need, and buying above it is paying for empty slots.
What do you spend per day?
Under $50, the entry units are enough. Above that, take a $250 unit. Meta raises limits on clean spenders, so starting low is not a trap, it is the normal path.
Do you need the pixel shareable?
If you already have audience and conversion data you want to carry over, pixel sharing saves you weeks of relearning. Our BM1 at $40 has it, the cheaper units do not.
Does your vertical need document verification?

What a good BM does not protect you from
A pre-warmed BM removes the infrastructure as the reason you get banned. It removes nothing else, and no seller can.
- Your ad content. Policy violations kill any BM, at any price.
- Your personal account. You accept the invite with it. Attaching a flagged profile to clean infrastructure moves the problem, it does not solve it.
- Your spending ramp. Jumping straight to the limit on day one triggers review, and review is where transferred assets fail.
- Your login hygiene. One device, one stable IP, one person.
If your ad accounts keep getting disabled without a clear reason, the alternative worth considering is personal ad accounts rather than another BM. They sit outside the BM structure, which means a BM-level ban does not take them with it.
